Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thy fighter. She competes currently with the UFC Flyweight division. She is also the older sister of the former UFC Flyweight champ as well as fellow UFC athlete Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko, who is a Muay Thai boxer started her career in fight sport at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko took the title in a unified victory against Suzane Miller. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded a second medal in 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008 and a gold in 2011, and was crowned as the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in the year 2016. Antonia started her professional journey when she was in the year 2003. She has taken home numerous awards, such as the K-1 World Championships, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships as well as the WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut took place in 2002 at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She took the win via a second round TKO after which she won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing and returned to the ring with Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui with an unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in the same decision. The league was dissolved in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina showed off her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera using knees. After this win, Antonina was able to sign the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC in The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi in an unanimous decision. She then was unable to win her next fight because of a split verdict. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night bonus for the bout. Shevchenko lost 1-2 in her next 3-fights she lost to Ariane Lipski and losing to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
