Annabelle Gurwitch

Annabelle Gurwitch was an American actor, comedian, and television host. Her most famous work is her role as the hostess of Dinner and a Movie (TBS) and as an environmentalist who was a part of secular humanism as well as environmental concerns. Annabelle Gurwitch, a New York Times best-selling author and highly acclaimed actress, is the best-selling New York Times author of her memoirs: In the Place You Are They Are I See That You Did An Effort Say Tomato You Say Fired I Say Shut up and was fired. It also appeared in the Showtime Comedy Special. Gurwitch hosted Dinner & a Movie on TBS for many years. Television viewers are likely to be able to recall her appearances on shows such as Better Things Boston Legal Seinfeld Dexter Murphy Brown, and the sustainability program WA$TED which was broadcast on The Planet Green Network. She is a regular on PBS Newhour Real Time With Bill Maher, NPR and writes op-eds and satires for the New York Times WSJ The Hollywood Reporter as well as Op-eds and satires to The New Yorker. The actress has been praised by critics for her work in the theatre, appearing in The New York Times and Los Angeles Times. Annabelle offers wisdom as well as a humorous account of aging in our youth obsessed culture. The work she's doing is well-known and has been performed in many theater events, AARP conventions and the 92nd Street Y Prevention Magazines and evenings for ladies with groups of women across the United States.
