Vinita Nair

In July of 2004, she joined the station and was able to cover a range of stories, such as the investigation into the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair was employed at the request of ABC News in December 2007 as a correspondent/anchor for ABC News Now. As a reporter she hosted live coverage and news briefs for ABC's digital network. Nair was a co-anchor for World News Now and America This Morning on ABC, from September 17, 2008 from September 17, 2008, until February 18, 2011. For both of these shows, she was partnered first alongside Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. Nair announced on Thursday, 17th February 2011, her last night hosting on World News Now would be Friday, 18th February. Also, it would be the day off as her last for ABC News. Former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her replacement immediately. World News Now, February 18th was a tribute to Nair. Former and current colleagues were featured in the segments.
