Alinity was included in a lawsuit filed against Twitch. Erik Estavillo, a Twitch user from California made a complaint to the civil court for damages of $25 million from Twitch because they exposed them to "overly suggestive and sexual content of female streamers" during their use of the site. Dexerto obtained court documents showing that the person who previously sued Microsoft Sony Nintendo Blizzard as well as Blizzard has lodged a formal lawsuit on June 15. Twitch received an official summons from the court on 19th of June. Estavillo is, as stated in the Santa Clara Superior Court of California complaint filed has a range of medical conditions that force him to rely on the Internet for his entertainment. He is also suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder and an addiction to drugs and alcohol. As per the complaint, Twitch makes these issues even more difficult. The complaint went on to list several female streamers who it believes "continues to expose viewers who only want to view players playing games on Twitch while being exposed to sexually addictive material and other content on a regular regularly and daily basis." With the exception of Alinity among them the following: When requesting relief the plaintiff wants all streamers mentioned above to be permanently barred because they violated Twitch's TOS as well as a total of $25 million dollars "to be split between the complainant and all the other Twitch Prime Turbo users," while any extra money will be distributed to various charitable organizations.
